Ok. They need to be 128kbs. The File Name should read Band - Album - Track Number - Track Name. Like this: Zip them up (if there is more than one file) and send them by "yousendit" or "megaupload" etc to [email protected] Thank you. Edited by Andy Webb - February 08 2014 at 12:49 |

People should really do this more. Is there a limit of songs for one album/band?

So why there's no streaming available for Skaldowie? I sent tracks with the submission. |

Are there any legal issues with just adding mp3 files for streaming without the artist's permission |

Here is how the file's "tag" should look:
you can edit the MP3s tag in Windows Media Player and a host of other players. Edited by Tony R - November 01 2006 at 17:24 |

With all due respect to the guy that sent me this file,
THIS IS HOW NOT TO DO IT... Needless to say the "Artist" name given is NOT the artist and the "Title" of the track is not "track 12" and this guy couldnt understand why I hadnt added his files...I was looking for a band called Nieznany.... |

I can recode virtually any file, but that's not the point. It all takes extra, unnecessary time for me,time I havent got!
with all due respect Tuzzy, the artist is listed as "Nieznany Wykonawca", the title of the track as "track 12" and the "comments tag" is incorrect. Yes, we are grateful for anything that is sent, but this is tempered by the extra work that is created when simple instructions arent followed. Please keep the files coming, just dont make pointed posts like "why hasnt X been added,I sent them 3 weeks ago" when YOU have created the hold up. Edited by Tony R - December 09 2006 at 09:54 |

Ok, how to edit tags using Windows Media Player 11.
This has changed slightly (and for the worse) in this version . However, first select the track for playing in WM Player. "Stop" the track and "right click" on it. Select "find in library" as in the image below: This will open the Library view in WMP: Righ-click on the track name and select "advanced tag editor" Fill in all the boxes you can, including the "http://www.progarchives.com" in the "comments" tab box you can see below: Then click "apply" and your file is now properly tagged. Now to complete the job. Locate the file where it is stored and right-click on ot and select "properties": in the box near the top type "band name" - "album name" - "track number" - "track title" .mp3 as below: Done. Great tutorial. Except. You don't have to stop playing the music. Just click on the Library tab and then click on "Now Playing" and you can access the album by selecting all the tracks and right clicking. Edited by Snow Dog - December 25 2006 at 20:39 |

nice to see microsoft has acknowledged "progressive rock" and put it in the tag genres dropdown list.
oh tony, nice to see we share the usage of 7zip and DBPower, it's a nice sense of IT intimacy Edited by andu - December 25 2006 at 20:34 |
