I need my Vodka Tonic to stay sane after a day of work (Sometimes a Scotch), so I would go with Vodka.
But Grappa is somehow similar to Peruvian Pisco so I like it once in a while.

In Brazil, we have the "garapa", certainly an Italian influence brought by immigrants, however at least consciouly I never drank it. Hence, I'll vote with vodka.

You probably understood the point of grappa then - what is this point?
Vodka for me - all the way, however when we've been to Lido di Esalo (maybe wrong spelling for this lovely place close to Venice?) we had our grappas with every meal, and it was fine.
But nothing can be compared with good old Malt.
