I wondered if anyone else here agreed with me that each reviewer registered with the site could give one (and only one) six star review to their favorite album.

I'd like to be able to do that.
    

EDIT: after reading several well written comments here, I have come to two conclusions.

First, six stars is a bad idea. Second, this site is in desperate need of half stars.

Third, we need an abstinence program. They've been proven quite effective. Here's the plan. Start a program teaching people not to have sex (give five stars) until they're married (have found a PERFECT masterpiece), and just in case, teach them how to do it safely (weed out albums that the review makes clear that the album doesn't deserve 5 stars in that person's mind).

What really makes me sick is when people say things like, "Well, I HATE this song, but this album is a PERFECT masterpiece." A bit of a contradiction there.

Yeah that is a cool idea. I would like to do that. It would be a tough choice.

    No, not 110%. 6 divided by five = 1.20. So about 120%. Get your fractions right.

Mine would probably be Hemispheres by Rush. I just can't get enough of that album when I am listening to it.

I happen to prefer A Farewell to Kings, I have listened to Hemispheres too much. My six stars would possibly go to GG's Octopus (which currently is my only five star review), but like I said I'm not sure.

But I think that special Collaborators get an additional 7 star review for any Marillion album they like best, and than we can all go and have a cookie.

i like the idea of a 6 star, but it should be a calculated formualic awarded value rather than an individualic given ratingTongue

I do like the idea, but I think the work involved in implementing it would be too great at this time. M@x already has a lot of work to do relating to improvements which need to be made to the site.

Ah, but could Max not do his fancy code wizardry and make it impossible for anyone but a registered member to use the feature, and even then only to use it once. Like you get an error message if you try to do it twice?
