Its like having a list of greatest directors and not including Hitchcock or a list of great composers and not including Mozart.....seriously.

Oh, boy!!! There's only 25 speces to put names so excuse if I left some great composer out of the list... Anyway I really like Herrmann and Schiffrin work but... there's no space for every talented musician that I know...

I really like Zbigniew Preisner and Michael Nyman -- voted for Presiner (Song for a Unified Europe is great, and I happen to love the Three Colours Trilogy).  w

Other composers I really like is Shigeru Umebayashi and Galasso (listen to the In the Mood for Love and 2046 soundtracks).  Peer Raben is an excellent soundtrack composer (worked with Fassbinder and also contributed to 2046).
