Saga are now in prog-related, but I feel they have more and more prog albums under their belt, and I for one would put them in Art Rock.

Where would you put them ?

For what I've listened so far Art-Rock, but maybe the few things I've listened are not representative of their sound.

Would a band be considered neo-prog if their career began in the 70's? I think art-rock would be a worthy categorization.

Yeah, but we tend to view Neo-Prog as more of a musical sound sort of thing, not related to time too much, though it would be a bit hard for a band to logically be considered Neo if they started before '77 or '78.

Never liked them (at least what was on the radio), but file them where the more commercial, "prog-lite" bands like Styx are listed, I guess Ermm

definetly neo-prog.

prog-related is a wrong place for them, they are certainly progressive, be it rather commercial.

anyone who doubts, please listen to Marillion, Pendragon, IQ, Twelfth Night, Clepsydra, Collage, Pallas, Shadowland, Saens, Satellite, Jadis, Like Wendy.

when your done listening to those bands, you are unlikely to listen to Saga again, but at least you'd know under which subgenre to put them.
