IV.....it was an iconic album on its release and it remains so to this day.

I was absolutely bowled over when I first heard it,almost speechless with joy.

One of the greatest albums of all time....though,of course, not Prog...

I guess they're all my favorite, but Physical Graffiti is my personal fave.

I voted for I, cause I've known it for so long and I still can't stop loving it - it has such a unique charm... However, Presence is also a favourite, excellent in a different way, as it's a very polished and daring work, probably the proggiest of them all (since we're on PA, you know Tongue). I think by the time they recorded Presence they had bettered their instrumental skills considerably and they put much thought into writing interesting and diverse compositions. "Achilles' Last Stand" is a monster (my favourite LZ track), "Tea for One" is more heartbreaking than a ton of depressed blues players from the Mississippi Delta, and generally speaking every song has its distinct personality. Too bad In through the Outdoor wasn't as inspired and then it all ended.

III - I love the Folk influence on  many of the numbers ("That's The Way"; "Gallows Pole"; "Tangerine") plus it has one of my favourite Zep tracks - "Since I've Been Loving You" - one awesome bluesy masterpiece.

"Music is the Wine that fills the cup of Silence"
- Robert Fripp

I

I remember putting my father's vinyl of that on, and I remember my jaw hitting the floor. I was 15 years old I think, and I wasn't all that familiar with Zep at that point in my life.

Special mention for III mostly due to Since I've Been Loving You, possibly my favorite Zep song.

I voted for Coda because it's the shortest.

I find it funny that their least-prog album is getting the most votes.

Led Zeppelin IV is one of the best albums ever to have been created IMO, so that's where my vote goes too. If I could make multiple choices I would also include I, Physical Grafity and Presence

But the live albums totally blows everything they made in a studio away. Live is where they were the real Gods of Rock. Unfortunatly they only released 2 official live albums and of course the majestic 2-disc DVD.

Presence!

Achilles Last Stand is one of the greatest songs ever. The intense drumming, the climactic builds, and the GUITAR SOLO!!!!!

Plus, "m-mm-mmonkey off my back"

After that, probably Physical Graffiti tied with II and then III tied with IV and Houses of the Holy.

I'm surprised I is getting all the votes I thought they would all go to IV and HOH. Don't get me wrong I is a worthwhile album but I thought they really developed with IV and HOH.

Probably IV. I don't really listen to their individual studio albums anymore, though, I prefer to listen to the Latter Days disc of their "best of" set.
