when I don't listen to progressive stuff, Metallica is played most frequently. Maybe because I actually manage to play Metallica on my guitar, as opposed to most Dream Theater and the like. :P
also, I have to admit that I do listen to some hip hop, for example Nas, Mobb Deep, Non Phixion, Necro etc.

Voted heavy metal, but there's a lot of different styles. Metallica, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Blind Guardian but also other styles: Neil Young, U2, Live, Creedence, other classic rock. Even on occasion classical music (Bach, Mozart, Chopin just to name a few) and opera (Wagner, Verdi, Puccini)...The only thing I'm NOT listening regularly is POP (top 40 stuff) and certainly not Hip Hop

To be the one who seeks so I may find .. (Metallica)

1. Heavy Metal (Heavy/Thrash Metal, Heavy/Hard Rock, lots of bands ...), I used to be a metaleer. 2. Blues (specially Texan blues) 3. Rock non-prog (lots and lots of bands ...) 4. Death metal and extreme metal (yeah, I like a lot bands like Cradle Of Filth, Cryptopsy, Gorgoroth, Venom, Old Man's Child, Dimmu Borgir, Naglfar, and even some folk metal like Finntroll and Korpiklaani, among others ...) 5. Jazz (and I mean classic jazz)
A long long time ago, I listened to Eminem, yes, it's true!

Rock/Blues, stuff like Gov't Mule or Allman Brothers Band. Basically JamBands.
However, I did give Miller Anderson's Bright City a listen to yesterday whilst reading and that was very good. Folky, rocky, bluesy and even gospely at times, good stuff. I also listen to Brass Rock like Keef Hartley Band (featuring Miller Anderson) and more blues rock based stuff like Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac and Duster Bennett.
I also listen to some jazz, like Coltrane, from time-to-time.

From the thing outside where you hover your cursor over the link and it tells you the most recent post...it says that you like to listen to Death Metal as edited by yourself. Arrogant b*****d that you are.

Usually new rock like the Modern Rock releases at PromoOnly.com, but also talk radio, like NPR. I occasionally throw in some classical or classic rock.
Never country, rap, or R&B.

The real question for me is, what prog do I listen to when I'm not listening to jazz?

So yeah...a bit of everything I guess.
