Hi everyone.

I need a little help with a purchase I'm about to do, and I have NO idea or information on this.

I need to know which type of flute is used among all of our best beloved flute players (Gabriel, Anderson, Latimer to be more precise)... I mean, I was browsing on musiciansfriend.com and there's different keys, "closed holes", "split C" etc... I am SO lost!!

Does anyone know which type is the "standard" type these guys use?

and also, what brands are good?

thanks for the help! Smile

As you know there's tons of flutes out there.  One thing all these guys have in common is that they play silver, open hole flutes.  Keep in mind silver flutes can cost a chunk of money, but like clarke said above Yamaha YFLs are good.
