I always felt that since I'm 52 years old that I was one of the "old guys" around here. I've also been curious as to the international composition of my fellow proggers. No better way than to have a poll. My guess is that Europe, age 20-29 will win. Let the voting begin!

I'm 46. I've been listening to prog (and other rock music) since 1975. I also like Keith Jarrett, Kenny Wheeler, Dave Holland, John Abercrombie, Django Bates, Herbie Hancock, Art Tatum, Duke Ellington, Mozart's operas and piano concertos, Haydn's symphonies, J.S. Bach's music for harpsichord, Handel's oratorios, Schumann's piano music, Schubert's Lieder, Berlioz' orchestral music, Monteverdi's late madrigals, Rameau's ballet suites and a whole lot of other stuff. I was born and raised in Genk (Belgium) but I've been living in the U.K. for over ten years.

Virginia, age 15. This site has a lot of very young progheads.
I've been raised in a military family, and I've spent the majority of my life overseas, so I consider myself a little more cultured than the average person. I've lived in Turkey, Germany, Japan, Hawaii, California, Georgia, and now, Virginia.
I've also found that a good majority of prog fans happen to be aetheists(like myself), I don't know if this is a corellation with the music, or if it's just coincidence.

When the world is sick
Can't no one be well
But I dreamt we were all
beautiful and strong

Just moved to Oregon, 38. Funny enough, Asia's first album got me
into checking out where the band members had come from and that's how I
found prog! Also at the time Genesis had just become commercial
and I loved Phil Collins' drum sound so I checked them out too.

Andu, the reason why I put Africa and Australia together was because the poll format limits you to only 25 choices and I didn't have room to list them seperately.

that's ok, it's been recognized by the academic international comunity that there's a strong relation between the science of paleontology and that of progtology.
australia would go just fine with asia if you'd ask me.

I actually think North America will win by a field goal.
I hope I make the spread.
