I came across an incredible band (Crucis) and I really wanted to buy their cd except...there's absolutely no place in Quebec where you can buy this cd or, for that matter, any cd which isnt remotely of commerical interest.  So for instance, if I go looking for uomo di Pezza by Le Orme, theres no way ill find that anywhere (I even checked ebay).  Does anyone know any stores in Quebec, or possibly ontario where I can get rare prog cd's?
Thanks for the help

Argentinian Crucis?

CRUCIS - Both of their legendary LP’s on one CD. Best Argentinian 70’s prog.  A must! CRONOLOGIA $16

Yeah, generally, if you want rare prog CD's, you have to order from obscure online sources or resort to illegal downloading (though at your own risk).
Go and listen to my music.

you'll need to check ebay every week for months to catch a rare fish! though i have often found the odd rare gem on the American Amazon site, and versions from various other countries exist, otherwise there are a few obscure record collecting sites but they charge a King's ransom for not-so-common items!

Try FreeSon Rock on Mont-Royale in Montreal. I've found many difficult to find gems there.

And, they are very good, but there are better argentinian bands  for me...like Bubu and MIAClap

I have a few questions

First:  I have four SBB albums and I want to buy

Pamięć or for that matter any SBB individually.  However, a

a couple years ago, they released a 22 CD box set encompassing their

whole career for $250.00, is the only way to buy their albums, in bulk?

I love SBB, but thatsa lot of money.

Second.   Where can I buy a HÖYRY-KONE album?

Where can I buy a ALAMAAILMAN VASARAT album?

Third.    Maneige's Les Porches????    Where???

I can answer to this question at least. The reason why you cannot buy this CD is that it hasn't been released in CD format. It's supposed to be done soon though.

However, ProgQuébec did release a really good live version of this album which is available here and on Amazon (well I think)

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

Yes, unfortunately Les Porches is not on CD officially yet, but the live album's great!

I get all my rare stuff through ebay by the way, it's the only way to get most everything i want.

Greg walker has the SBB albums seperately, I'm going to order some myself, in due time....

It is super hard to find Italian Prog (and Zehul) music for me, and I work in the largest music store in Canada. Try sites like www.amazon.ca, or if you don't mind spending more money for the US online music sites, try www.cduniverse.com and www.amazon.com.

The best music store on this side of the Hemisphere in my opinion is Sam the Record Man in Toronto.  I found lots of rare music there.  I make it a hobby to visit music stores and I've been to the Virgin megastore in London  and another one in Paris.  There is one in Orlando and Miami.  There's a store near my house, it's small, but it has some really rare stuff too.  Out of all these stores that I've visited, the best is Sam the Record Man.
