As for myself, I love Spaghetti Westerns, the genre, sylized movie making AND the music. But what about you? Any thoughts?

I've always been a fan of the music in spaghetti westerns.

My favourite is Once Upon a Time in the West as the natural sound used with the music really set the tone of the film perfectly particularly at the start where all you hear is a windmill creaking.

It's wonderful. Nowadays, it's this sort of music that one thinks of when you think of western film music. Ironic really, as these 'spaghetti westerns' received savage reviews at the time.

'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' and 'Once Upon A Time In The West' rely heavily on the music. Masterpieces of cinema though they are, their impact would be lessened considerably if the music wasn't there. Grandiloquent, operatic, dramatic, and just brilliant.

I too have a fair few Spaghetti Westerns outside of the standard Leone ones. I have 'Django', 'The Great Silence', 'A Bullet For The General', 'Sabata', 'Death Rides A Horse' and 'My Name Is Nobody'. I have god knows how many Hollywood ones too. One of my favourite cinema genres.

Im not too familiar with spaghetti westerns, though I love the Trinity movies with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer. The soundtrack there is good as well.
