I, personally, think you have a good chance.

I already was rejected. I think I'll need a lot more time.
But, as you explained, she is a shy person, and that had to have some impact on your rejection. Plusm you said eventually she enjoyed dancing with you, that's better off than I am, I have this infuriating quality of not being able to find Hope during slow dances...

I know other people's experience is never perceived as valid. Nevertheless, I suggest the following:

- You: "err... ¿Hope?"
- Hope: "¿Yes, Scapler from progarchives?"
- You: "It is difficult for me to say this, but I must be brave and say it, or it'll bug me for a long time. Listen: ¿would you look for me during the first slow song tonight, so we can slow dance a bit?. It is all I'm asking, to be able to dance with you with a less agitated song. (Use the following only if you feel brave enough) I always think about you when those songs are played. I look around, but I never find you at the right moment. I would really like to change this, if it is ok with you. Sooo... I'll be waiting right at(choose a location) when the first sloe song starts. If you want, look for me there. And my bravery is off now, so I'm gonna go now.
- Hope: "¡¡¡KOBAïA ISS DE HUNDïN!!!"
- You: "¿What?"

Etc.

(If she actually says "¡¡¡KOBAïA ISS DE HUNDïN!!!", ask her if instead of dancing with you, can she arrange a meeting between C. Vander and you).

Actually, I have story about that one!

Before, homecoming, I finally worked up the courage to ask Hope to save a dacne for me. On the way to Orchestra class, I flaged her down and asked her:

Me:"Hey, Hope, are you going to homecoming?"
Hope: "Yes"
Me: "Would, you, ahh...save a dance for me?"
Hope: (and this is her actual reply) "Of course."

And so I went for the next few days, being very, very happy. And life was wonderful and perky.
Then I got to homecoming, andd we had a retarded DJ (who only played rap and other assorted crap, but that is an entirely different discusision) who only played, like, two minutes of slow song. And, in my typical luckless fashon, I spent those two minutes looking for Hope. It was the only time during the night I lost track of her too! D'oh! I mean, besides then, I was staring at her all night!

On a serious note, I do think I am in love, I have never felt the way I felt about her about anyone else before.

Friend, you have to do something about that. Let go the fear of being rejected. Rejection is a very key moment in one's process of learning how to aproach a girl properly. Once you see that rejection is not that bad (you don't loose a kidney or a leg), you start feeling a lot more confident; also, it helps to catch the body language, wich is also useful in term of knowinf if someone actually likes you, or you are just imaging things.

I am not as afraid of rejection as you might think.

But, as far as body language, do you have any suggestions of what to look for?
