You are a lucky guy. Let me tell you how I met MErcedes Father. Her parents are divorced, so I met her dad 4 years later than her mother. That summer, I was supposed to be introduced to him, as a result of a long posponed re-encounter between him and Mercedes. That same week, my beloved girlfriend had panic attacks, disguised as several really bad headaches. As suggested by the E.R. doctor, we went to see a Neurologist (we didn't knew it was panic attacks at that time), because of the headaches, that could indicate a vascular problem. Her dad went to meet us at the neurologist office. Once inside, and after a few coordination tests, the doctor suggested a scanner. But, in order to be a completely safe scanner, the doctor asked her about her period. As a result of a nervous crisis, period can be delayed. This was the case, since she was a week and a half late. Doctor looks at us (Father and Me) and says: "well, first we must see if you are pregnant. If so, will have to use another examination method. Take a pregnancy test right now, and let me know about the result. From that, we can schedule". The three of us went down to a little drugstore to buy the pregnancy test. She took it on the bathroom of the clinic's cafeteria. Her dad and me waited, sitted face to face on a table. He didn't said a word the whole time. A little before Mercedes came back, her dad finally talked to me and said: "Cuncuna*: ¿do you have an aspirin?". Finally, Mercedes came with negative results, and the rest is diluted memory, since I was too nervous and she had a nother headache right there, because of the pregnancy test she had to take right there, in front of her dad, in their first time togheter in about five years. That's how I met her dad. It is funny now.

Hey, I have a bunch of cool chord progressions and melodies I can use to write a romanctic (but NOT cheesy) song...
Should I make her a song (that's not proggy, though)

By the way, stop insulting my romantic concept album.
It is the only romantic songs I have been able to write that have NOT turned out cheesy...

It's an original idea, but it's still creepy.

I already was rejected. I think I'll need a lot more time. | But, as you explained, she is a shy person, and that had to have some impact on your rejection. Plusm you said eventually she enjoyed dancing with you, that's better off than I am, I have this infuriating quality of not being able to find Hope during slow dances... |
I know other people's experience is never perceived as valid. Nevertheless, I suggest the following:
- You: "err... ¿Hope?"
- Hope: "¿Yes, Scapler from progarchives?"
- You: "It is difficult for me to say this, but I must be brave and say it, or it'll bug me for a long time. Listen: ¿would you look for me during the first slow song tonight, so we can slow dance a bit?. It is all I'm asking, to be able to dance with you with a less agitated song. (Use the following only if you feel brave enough) I always think about you when those songs are played. I look around, but I never find you at the right moment. I would really like to change this, if it is ok with you. Sooo... I'll be waiting right at(choose a location) when the first sloe song starts. If you want, look for me there. And my bravery is off now, so I'm gonna go now.
- Hope: "¡¡¡KOBAïA ISS DE HUNDïN!!!"
- You: "¿What?"
Etc.
(If she actually says "¡¡¡KOBAïA ISS DE HUNDïN!!!", ask her if instead of dancing with you, can she arrange a meeting between C. Vander and you).
