it's the longer version, and sorry for the watermark thing, I dont know what the hell that is LOL

Also, I have deemed myself inept to have a relationship, as I keep changing the person I like. I just started liking some other girl (who likes Rush no lessBig smile) but I doubt I have any better chance with her than anyone else. My whims change with the wind, so I don't pay attention to them anymore...It might be because I don't see myself as able to be with any one specific person, so I'm all over the place. To quote Space-Dye Vest:

"Theres no one to take my blame
If they wanted to
Theres nothing to keep me sane
And its all the same to you
Theres nowhere to set my aim
So Im everywhere"

Allright, so the sane bit is a bit overly dramatic, but you get the point

Maybe when there is one girl you are after for a prolonged amount of time, then she might be the one.

That's my problem, I can like someone for a prolonged period of time, but when you get little to no response from them EVER (even just attempting to talk to them as friends) it's a sign to give up...hopefully this person will be a little differentErmm

Good luck to you, I will be rooting you from afar.

Thanks, who knows, maybe there is hopeWink but I don't think that this'll work out any better than the rest....I'll probably get frustrated at the lack of progress over a few months and give up again, then move on....still, she's in a few of my classes, who knows

Bad pun!

Maybe it will work, she likes Rush, there is a starting point for becoming friends, then you can move on to bigger and better things.

Or you can do what I do, and longly stare out a window with a stupid look on my face. It's working so far (though I don't quite know what it is working to DO....)Wink

I remember three girlfriends being between 1,80 / 1,90. I have a friend, a girl who's 1, 80, more or less. Never gets asked out, or spoken to, since her classmates are embarrased to look up and talk to her from a lower point of view. All I can say is "idiots". I really don't see the trouble in this, but certainly is an issue. But in the mind, not in the tangible world. Check out those little roosters. They don't care about their height, they just beat the crap out of any living creature that aproaches his nest.

Well put. (Wow, you are short: 5'4").

However, I can't relate; I'm 6'4" (a little bit more than 1.93 meters).

Yes, I am. Never had any problems getting the atention of someone. I'm surprised whenever I read about girl problems here, given that prog is such a resourceful and imaginative genre of music, one would guess that poeple who likes prog has the same spirit, imagination, resources and no limits to mix them.

Or one could conclude that one listens to prog's creativity to compensate for the individual's lack thereofWink

Indeed. Those things are related to intuition, and that is something you can't teach. I guess you can be Dream Theater like (trying too much), or Robert Wyatt like (doesn't even try, but music flows out of him anyway).

I just caught the last minutes of "Funny Bones". Maybe is the same thing; either you have it, or you don't. There's no way to force a reaction.

Yes, but is it silly and romantic?

I don't know.

The entire album is sung is an Icelandic dialect. However, images of Helen go through my head when I listen to the album.

Sigur Rós is such an emotive band. The first time I heard them was in the Life Aquatic soundtrack. It was a song from Agaetis Byrjun. So beautiful. I don't have a clue about the lyrics, but certainly sounds like something romantic to me.

Ok then. Watch old movies about pirates. Every movie I saw when I was a kid ended with a long kiss. That kind of impressed me. since then I've always liked to be surrounded by women, friends and girlfriends. You keep doing that, but don't see it as a challenge. Girls have eras and know how to use them in coordination with their mouths to produce conversation; it seems to me that oyu have stigmatized that situation, turning it into an obstacle. Truth is, it's only talk (¡Prog quote!). Get used to this.

Wee! I got a ride home from X-C practice with none other than... Helen! Her dad drove me home, and we talked a bit, and let me say that her dad is a very interesting and approachable person! He made a comment regarding religion, and I said "oo lord, you are so big" and he actually laughed and understood the reference! It also turns out he AND Helen used to watch the Flying Circus (from what I understand), or at least she's seen the Holy Grail. Wow, today was cool.

Sweetness, Monty Pyhton-ness, while not essential in a relationship, is certainly a huge plus. Every romance could use a well-place Python reference now and then.
