Topic: PA PROG OLYMPICS WINNER Posted: November 05 2006 at 18:33 |
Congratulations to King Crimson's Red for the winner of the inaugural Olympics. Thanks to all of those who competed and contributed, look for a new Olympics with a new setup around Christmas time. Thanks again.

Meh, Red is nothing compared to ITCHYCOCK, Lark's Starless etc.
Very overrated album, though still a good 4 star.

ITCOCK is overrated, not Red. Red trumps all the albums you mentioned. (LTIA comes very close).

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

what the hell.... shame I was on vacation and couldn't stop this travesty ... I think the Olympic's were fixed. Red isn't even K.C.'s 2nd best album hahahhhahah.
or they they win for most overrated prog album... then again... Genesis- The Lamb would have taken that.
oh well

I agree.
FIX!
Red is overrated definitely. Larks' Tongues In Aspic is their best (that I've heard).
VdGG's Still Life should have won.
Or even Wyatt's Rock Bottom!
Ouch, this hurts...

Rock Bottom (IMO) would have a fighting chance to win! (Hell, I'd vote for it; I'd like to see it win).

Thanks OpethGuitarist !!!
Never mind those people who said the competition was fixed, just shows how many people have no respect for other people's opinions.
I would have liked for Rush's Moving Pictures to win, but am I going to wrongly accuse someone of treachery simply because my pick did not win ?
'My father is stronger than yours...' That's the same attitude. Grow up, people !!!
People voted for Red (I did), and, to my knowledge, we were all allowed one vote.
The objective of this game was clear : to have fun.
Yes, remember fun ? That feeling you had as a kid before Life took it's toll on you, before the mundane realities and responsibilities of adulthood took over ? I am 32 and I still have fun, why don't you try it, it never hurts anyone !!!

Not too bad, but I wish my Änglagård album would've won. I thought I was choosing very wisely...

Really hoped more people would've voted for Primus' "Frizzle Fry". It's their best one! Guess you can't beat the classics...
