What kind of sadistic person are you to allow us to chose only one ?

OK. Since you've pointed a gun to my head... Selling England by the Pound
Fire up the flux capacitor ! We're taking this Delorean through all four dimensions.

What is the future of prog ? Genesis reunion ? I'm not telling! That could upset the thyme/space continuum.

Er, I dunno...maybe Thick. I'm assuming that picking a compilation and/or live album would sorta be cheating?

I'm relatively new to prog, so I don't have a lot to choose from, and this choice might piss off some people, but I'd say OK Computer is my favourite. The brilliance of this album blows me away every time I listen to it. Sure, Radiohead are a popular band, but I don't care. I could listen to this album all day.

However, if OK Computer isn't considered true prog then I'd have to say A Farewell to Kings by Rush. Closer to the Heart alone almost justifies this, it almost always brings me close to tears. I love the entire album though, especially Xanadu and Cygnus X-1. I know most people like Moving Pictures, but I think The Camera Eye is a little boring and tedious and brings the album down below AFTK and Permanent Waves.

Selling England by the Pound, Lightbulb Sun, Lateralus, Red and Acquiring the Taste are all up there as well.

I've found that Harmonium - Five Seasons brings me the most joy out of any other prog album I've heard.

Another one of those "impossible to answer" posts for me. I wouldn't even know how to narrow down my top 5.
