Excellent stuff. Have it on mp3 though.
Heard good things about it too, and I am looking for it as well.

Incidentally, I was having a look around for Komintern on here and couldn't find 'em. I have the reissue of this on vinyl and rather wonderful it is too! |

I am having a nice day, thanks.
Heard about Komintern but not them.
Should I add this to my current French/Japanese RIO/Avant/Zeuhl purchases?
Is this on CD as well?
Are Karuna on CD?
I have so much things to look up... I have this childish excitement and anticipation for my coming cd's....

Apparently there is no cd reissue. Only a vinyl reissue on the excellent Cryonic label which is the copy I have. Also it's a ridiculously intense listen. Music Hall on acid perhaps? KOMINTERN

Any information on the rather amazing trip-out Jazz I'm listening to right now would be appreciated: Dedalus 'Dedalus' from '73. Should appeal to all of us Vortex lovers! Edited by Yukorin - November 03 2006 at 01:10 |

Italian friends of The Residents?
I have their second album. Its completely avantgarde, and the best comparison is maybe the most atonal parts of Robert Wyatt's End of an Ear. I like it. Its an highly experimental album that never gets boring, but I defenatly prefer their fantastic debut. Tapes realized by Fiorenzo Bonansone and Marco di Castri. Texts by Samuel Beckett, from Without, and Kha-kheper-Ra-somb, Egyptian writer of the 18 th Century B.C., from Storia della letteratura egiziana antica by Donadoni This work is the result of the collaboration among three musicians whose training has gone through different cultural and musical experiences. Marco di Castri and Enrico Grosso come from jazz while Fiorenzo Bonansone comes from contemporary classical music. This situation of apparent dishomogeneity had a positive role to get over some prejudices about some aspects of contemporary musical research as a whole. This can be easily noticed by listening to the complexity and and heterogeneity of both the material which has been used, and the combinatory solution which have resulted. We say material to underline the importance as raw material of not just the traditional elements and building patterns of the musical architecture and the most recent finds of electronic and musique concrete researches, but also the final results of a previous composing activity. The reminescence of traditional music at the beginnng of the second side [La bergera\ and the symphonic bursts flashing through the uproar of Con più frequenza are exactly pre-formed material whose utilisation is allowed when the usual relations among pure sounds (notes) open the way to a wider game of relations among culturally and temporarily defined wholes, that is what we could paradoxically call music of musics. sleeve notes of "Materiali per tre esecutori e nastro magnetico"
Fiorenzo
Bonansone
(cello, piano, Fender piano, voice, accordeon, synthesizer, soprano ocarina, electrified mandolin, 'plastubofono', bottle) Marco di Castri (tenor and soprano saxophones, electric, acoustic, prepared or bending guitars, harmonica, flute, Moroccan oboe, 'plastubofono' with reed, voice) Furio Di Castri (bass) Enrico Grosso (drums, percussion and noises) Ennio Bonansone (sound engineer) |

Yeah they are bleedin' fantastic. They occasionally play Tokyo and I've been lucky enough to see 'em live a few times. Here's a (heavily edited for work reasons) review from last June http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=25582 That time saw the return of Aki of early Koenji/Bondage Fruit et al as Kyoko is in Italy for an opera production |

Here is a decent messageboard with some information about the more obscure zeuhl jewels (Evohe, Carmina, Rialzu et al) http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/Magma-Vander/messages/873?viscount=-30&l=1 |
