If you really love someone, you should be happy if they are happy, EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT WITH YOU (catch the emphasis there? )

I can see being depressed, but angry at them? A silly romanticist should know best, the girl may have strong feelings for someone else that they don't want to abandon for you

That's partially why I've given up, I feel like if I like someone/"pursue" them as it were that I'm being invasive and putting them into a situation that they don't want to be in....

Don't give up hope

(ha! bad pun!)

Oh, I've heard all this crap before, "don't give up hope", "you have a chance", and even "she probably likes you".....well.....none of it's ever been true, why should I start believing now? Whatever, I really should stop thinking about this stuff...

I made this awesome logo for the Silly Romanticists' Club
It is Cupid's body with Fish's head (wearing a kilt of course)

Unfortunately, my scanner is broken, and until it starts working again, I can't post it

Im going to give everyone an update on something you completely dont know about.

me and this girl keep quoting songs in messages/emails to eachother, usually love songs. we talk a lot but i dont know if were bestbest friends or higher. and we were planning our roadtrip, and then our move to iceland after college. she's going to be a novelist and im going to be a photographer. good have been in all good fun, but it certainly was good fun. she's wonderful.

I think I'm the silliest of them all: I pursued my actual girlfriend for three long years. On those years, I wrotte bad romantic poetry, I spent a lot in silly phone calls, I tried to find her among hundreeds of people in the middle of a popular religious party, expecting some sort of magic encounter that never happen, I sang a couple of songs, both silly. She only took me as boyfriend after being accepted in a very far university; I travelled for 6 years every three weeks to spent time toghether from late friday to early monday and now I'm pretty much broke since I spent lots of money on those travels, plus, I only had temporary independent jobs in all that time, since a harder schedule would have made impossible a relationship. And I think it was all worthy; no regrets on anything, though right now I'm temporary screwed up, I have her at my side and that is the only thing that makes me a happy person. Now things are a bit different; she is close finally, no more travelling across the country, no more little time, and, as a couple, the whole experience has made us really really close. Pretty much like "Arizona Dreams", on that final esquimal scene with the flat fish. ¿Silly?. You bet.

That's not silly, but really romantic.

I'm about to give up after only two years, guess I'm not romantic enough.

¡Never give up, progger!, unless she throws hot oil at you. Fight, be clever, use your better tricks, learn new ones (for exmaple, how to cook beautiful desserts). Take a look at what male birds have to do in order to be accepted by their female possible companions. ¡Now go back there and impress her!. If she is not married or in a very long relationship, you better waste yourself until getting her or die trying.

Wow, I only have one year.

Im not very good with women, the girl I like is the most wonderfull that I'veen met in my life, I want to do it right. I know her interest, and we are very similar, but the words never came when I want to talk with her, Im to bad speaking with people and with here my nerves dont let me make a good conversation.

Im a very romantic person, but my fear dont let me be myself (I know, that sounds very VDGG, but is true). I had to work in that, I think that I still have some posibilities in the future, just I need to became a more secure person.

Guess that applys to me too, sighOuch

The girl I like is not at all similar to me and I'm not a people-person at all so I have no clue what to do but I'll try your tip cuncuna. I'm the kitchen wonder-boyStar

Ermm When I joined this "club," I'd thought we'd be discussing the works of the romantics, especially:

,  & ,
but instead I seem to wandered into just another angsty teen chatroom for Broken HeartBroken Heart.

How very mundane, and disappointing! Disapprove

Yeah, teenage poetry is usually quite emo, at least mine was. Dead It was all about demons and women being evil and the apocalypse and stuff.
