There are lots of threes in mythology, religion, fairytales and folklore, etc. It was often considered to be a magical number.

There's a Flea in the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but he's not of the family Siphonaptera.  Also, cat fleas ( Ctenocephalides felis) don't just live on cats.
