I really like both of them. Rudess is one of my favorite Keyboard players. I saw him live and could't believe how fast he can play ![](smileys/smiley5.gif) And he's BTW a very nice guy.
Keneally is really funny. Do you know his Yes-parody "Faithful Axe" ??? I laughed my ass off as I heard it for the first few times ![](smileys/smiley36.gif)

Yes I´ve seen Jordan with Dream Theater and I agree he is just too good to be true.
He´s got a new cd out later this month.
Well Mike is something else, incredible musician and a really fun guy, his orchestral cd will be released shortly.

Agree with you guys : Rudess and Keneally are two names related with prog, thus have to be mentioned in the progarchives database.

I think that "Wiener" and "Wiener Schnitzel" are some of the best known german words...at least that's what I noticed.
Just watch "The great dictator" by Chaplin, how often does he use the Word "Wiener Schnitzel" (...mit Sauerkraut ![](smileys/smiley36.gif) )?
I think german is a very difficult language...at least the grammar. You know, we write Nouns (and many other words) in upper case letters, just like I did with the Noun "Noun" ![](smileys/smiley36.gif) and all this complicated stuff...
But I really like Keneally's "Wiener Schnitzel" lyrics ![](smileys/smiley36.gif)
Just saw that the new Tangent album will also feature a german song title.
I'm very excited about this release BTW (and the new Pain of Salvation)
Pre ordered the new Rudess album "Rythm of life" (or rythm of time? I saw both, strange) a few minutes ago, as well as the new "California Guitar Trio" album ![](smileys/smiley32.gif) (Thx danbo for the samples)

By the way, I just love the band TAAL
|
Taal, yeah...I have both albums, VERY cool stuff, I really love it ![](smileys/smiley32.gif) Don't know wich albums is better...maybe I'd go for Mister Green if I really had to decide...but I haven't ![](smileys/smiley2.gif)
POS is an AWESOME band. I think that Entropia is still their best output (see review). Daniel is one of the best singers in Prog IMO...and now he's a member of the Flower Kings, another band I really like...
So there are a lot of albums I'm looking forward to...within the next 2 month, all candidates for my personal "album of the year" title:
- Liquid Scarlet - Liquid Scarlet (I ordered it, I'm so f*** excited about this album)
- Jordan Rudess - Rythm of Life (or Rythm of time? I saw both versions, strange)
- The Tangent - The world that we drive through
- Pain of Salvation - BE
- Clifornia Guitar Trio - White Water

I must say that I'd recently learned quite a bit about many of the bands mentioned in this thread; Taal, POS, Jordan Ruddess... Exceptional, one and all. Especially Pain of Salvation. Every soft eared old progger, like me, would be thrilled after hearing 12:5. It's that good. I'm still mulling it over, but I am pleasantly surprised.
This is the beauty of this site. Thanks Didds.

Nobody ever said that they can't ![](smileys/smiley4.gif) I think even if they play Metal, their Metal is TOTALLY different from all other Metal Stuff out there, even different from the whole Prog Metal stuff out there. Their style is REALLY unique and interesting...and I think nobody would have a problem with calling POS prog because some have with other Prog Metal bands...

They really are unique, that is difficult to be these days. ![](smileys/smiley1.gif) And you all should know that POS is totally unknown over here in Sweden. Critics avoid quality music.
Well, it's been a long day's journey, but this weekend the final mixes
are being prepared, and on Monday evening the album will be mastered
and done, ready for being pressed and hit the stores in September! Get
ready for one of the most unique and mind blowing creations ever to
have been ignored by mainstream press ;)
