No idea... but I did read something at The Guardian website about some guy in England who's made a deterrant against youths, by facilitating a device in his shop, that creates a high-pitched noise that only those under 25 apparently can here.  It's supposed to scare them off.

It's so high in the register, those over 25 (give or take a few years), do not hear it, so they do not have any problems entering the shop.

The alarm will only sound if a group of youths is hanging around outside and looking like they're causing a nuisance.

Quite a good idea!

At least it was until some enterprising youngsters decided to turn it into a ringtone.....

I've heard the note, but nothing happened. Its reputation is very exaggerated.

I dunno about a particular note, but I know most of Dave Matthews' songs has that effect on me

The experiment on Myth Busters wasn't very convincing for me.  They didn't try all the frequencies, and instead only tested about 4 or 5 different frequencies between 2 and 20 Hz.  From what I've heard, the Brown Note exists around 10Hz... one they didn't test.

I, for one, am still a believer.

Some of Hitler's scientists experimented with very loud lf sounds that could cause resonance within the body and therefore death.  They found that frequencies around 7Hz could cause death if loud enough.

It seems from the following that they may have been right:

7 Cycles Per Second (Hz) - The most profound effects at this infrasonic level occur here. Seven Hz "corresponds with the median alpha-rhythm frequencies of the brain. It is also commonly alleged that this is the resonant frequency of the body's organs and hence organ rupture and death can occur at high-intensity exposures." (source; 'Acoustic Trauma: Bioeffects of Sound,' by Alex Davies)

It's therefore quite possible that sounds around this frequency could cause someone to "have an accident".  Dead
When people get lost in thought it's often because it's unfamiliar territory.

LOL I also have a similar experience whenever the cars with the really loud, bassy rap blaring out of them drive by my house.

Perhaps the miracle does happen if you are using a trombone or a tuba and produce the note yourself with great personal effort.

I remember you playing Genesis at high volume through those monitor speakers you had, and Rutherford's bass pedals virtually rippling the carpet...

That came close
