Today is a very special anniversary for me...

Well 30 years ago today, I started the journey of my life. I was 17 and went to my first ELP concert, I met Andy Hendrickson, who introduced me to Keith Emerson.. who took me to a room where Greg Lake walked right up to me and introduced himself..

It was a day of many firsts for me. The first time I was backstage at a concert, the first time I got to watch a show from the side of the stage, the first time I had champagne, the first time I rode in a limousine, the first time I......ahh you know..

Anyway, it still goes down in history as the greatest night of my life, altho the next night in Norfolk, VA wasn't bad either.. or the next few weeks I spent with them..

Thank you VC.. I celebrated it by going to the Warped Tour today.. and picking up some cute little bass players in punk bands... who are younger than my son...
