I don't remember that one, but based on the fake crowd noise, lip-synching, guitar-neck choking and bad outfits, this must have been a Kirshner production.

I do remember briefly thinking this was pretty cool back in the day though (I was 11 years old).

I was 7 years old, and I don't think that song ever charted in this country.
 
Correction: it reached #37 in the States.  Not exactly a monster hit.

I was 8 and remember that on Top of the Pops. 
Some of the Glam Rock stuff was good but the Rubettes and Bay City Rollers were yesterday's version of Boyzone and Westlife. 
I always prefered Slade, T-Rex, The Who etc.

LOL According to an urban legend widespread here Kiss copied their mascaras from S & M.
 
On the other side, singer Ney Matogrosso (the one with the moving bum) was the first artist as long as I remember that left the closet publicly here - more than 30 years ago!

I was told that sometimes Ney Matogrosso was arrested after such performances in his gigs. That should be too much for our so judicious dictatorship.
