I don't remember that one, but based on the fake crowd noise, lip-synching, guitar-neck choking and bad outfits, this must have been a Kirshner production.

I do remember briefly thinking this was pretty cool back in the day though (I was 11 years old).

And just for contrast - a video from the same summer.

I grew up a lot that summer.

Apparently so did Kirshner .

I was 7 years old, and I don't think that song ever charted in this country.

Correction: it reached #37 in the States.  Not exactly a monster hit.

I was 8 and remember that on Top of the Pops.
Some of the Glam Rock stuff was good but the Rubettes and Bay City Rollers were yesterday's version of Boyzone and Westlife.
I always prefered Slade, T-Rex, The Who etc.

Now THAT'S prog! Wheeeeeeeee! Big smile

I remember it -- though it were best forgotten. I would have been 14, and puking in a sneering, superior fashion. Dead

Now I can laugh -- thanks!LOL

LOL According to an urban legend widespread here Kiss copied their mascaras from S & M.

On the other side, singer Ney Matogrosso (the one with the moving bum) was the first artist as long as I remember that left the closet publicly here - more than 30 years ago!

Evil Smile Okay -- one bad turn deserves another:

One of my all-time WORST 70s songs (and a huge hit) -- the very definition of SAPPY! Dead

Ah, such masterful, moving lyrics: "We had joy, we had fun, you put something up my...."

I bet some of you actually like it -- admit it!Big smile

Such poetic pathos! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!! Cry

I was told that sometimes Ney Matogrosso was arrested after such performances in his gigs. That should be too much for our so judicious dictatorship.

The Fairy, er Terry Jacks?

I suspected as much, you old softie! (I can just picture you now -- all alone in your candle-lit, lonely room, sobbing softly as you hugged your widdle wadio...)

Gah! Feed it to your capybara, pronto, and go listen to some muy macho Van Halen or Deep Purple, before it's too late!Stern Smile
