 Topic: 2-disc studio masterpeices

I apologize ahead of time, if this topic is old, I havn't been on the forums in a LONG time, so I'm not really sure whats circulating.
I guess... what are your favourite 2 disc masterpeices of all time?
A few that come to mind for me are "The Lamb Lies down on Broadway", or "The Wall", or "Metropolis: Pt2"
The album you name DOES NOT have to be widely considered a classic masterpeice... it can be completely based on your opinion. So let's hear it guys! :D

Well, if were really free here, the first great double *live* I can think of is 'Song Remains the Same'. Prog or not, it still holds as rock concert gold. 'TFTO' and of course Lamb.

Well Topographic oceans would be my first pick, but I think it should be said that Metropolis Pt2 is not a 2 disc album.

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

I'll have to go with the obvious here - Yes' Tales From Topographic Oceans and Genesis' The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.
As for Dream Theater, the only choice is Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence, with the massive 42-minute epic on the second disc!
Other's I would include would be Snow by Spock's Beard and Unfold The Future by The Flower Kings. Infact, each of The Flower Kings' double-CD albums are really good - Stardust We Are, Flower Power (with the near-hour-long epic "Garden Of Dreams"), Unfold The Future and Paradox Hotel. Also, A Place In The Queue is really good too.

Wow, about 7 posts and no one has mentioned Ayreon's The Human Equation?  It's very very good. I'm actually not a huge fan of most of the supposedly great double albums. I'm tired of The Wall, haven't gotten into TFTO yet, and need more listens to truly appreciate The Lamb. Oh, and I gave Snow by Spock's Beard many chances, and came to the unfortunate conclusion that I reallly don't like it. I see the potential in The Lamb though. I just need to listen to it more. I love all other Gabriel-era Genesis, so it'll click soon.

Well, I must say;
The Wall by Pink Floyd; Simply a masterpiece
Tales From Topographic Oceans by Yes; Great concept and shows Yes at its most complex
The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway by Genesis; Gabriel went mad on this one. The band shows they could do whatever they want, and they did it!
FlowerPower by Flower Kings; This is a voyage, starting with the magnificent Gardem of Dreams. great symphonic progressive rock in the 90's
Welcome Back My Friends to The Show That Never Ends by Emerson, Lake and Pakmer; Don't know if this one is fair because it is a live recording but that album is completely amazing very powerful, including two impressive epics.
I think this is it.

Two obvious choices, already mentioned:
The Beatles - White Album
Magma - Kobaïa
I haven't made up my mind about TfTO, though I'd like to add The Human Equation by Ayreon.
And if non-Prog albums are OK to mention, I'll add Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin.
