Wow. I was expecting people to really be pissed off at me for saying "The Correct answer is Yes, but you can think what you want", and I was actually planning some kind of "self-justification post", saying that im only joking and everyone is entitled to their opinion and yada yada yada.... but no one seems to be pissed off... yet...
Astonishing
By the way, my more specific opinion is that Pink Floyd have some very good, interesting material but on the other hand they have a massive amount of material that is boring. | It seems we are to intelligent to fall for that
...actually I was gonna post like 500 words about how you are a pice of for saying something like that...and then I saw this post

As a person who discovered Pink Floyd on my own without having heard
neither anything good nor anything bad about them, I believe that my
opinion on their music is not influenced by the opinions of others. I
personally think their music is pretty boring in general, although I do
like some of it very much. However, I think that many people love Pink
Floyd only because they've been exposed to excessive praising of the
band before listening to their music.
By saying this I'm not insinuating that my opinion is the correct one
and all of you who love their music are wrong. This is just a theory of
mine. I know it can be seen as controversial, but before you start
flaming me let me just say that I know people who have discovered Pink
Floyd the same way I have (with little or no influence from others) but
who love their music. I will not debate my opinion further in this
thread, as I already have done it once (look up my CttE vs The Yes
Album poll).

Back around '69 when I bought Ummagumma, I felt that way at
first. After listening to it I really started to appreciate them
more. However, I personally feel that they are way
overrated. Their music is basic updated versions of blues riffs
with a lot of effects and synths to fill out the sound. Nothing
overly complex, just excellent mood music to sit back and enjoy.

the beutey of pink floyd is its sheer simplicity. any one can learn to play a guitar really fast and unusually time signitures aren't as complex alot of people make out. to make music as emotional, engrossing and, most importantly, progressive as floyd did with such simplicity is the work of true genius.

Post-Rock takes this "progress through simplicity" thing even further.

The only PF I find truly boring is "Sysyphus" and "The Grand Vizier's Garden Party" on "Ummagumma." There are others I don't care for that much (very few), but I wouldn't describe them as boring.

I had to vote for boring, though "mostly boring" would've been more accurate. They are... pleasant and occasionally inspired, but for the most part overly simplistic and dull to my ears. Wallpaper music dressed up a bit with synths and the odd decent guitar solo. Just as well they didn't team up with Jerry Goodman, Jerry Smith etc, otherwise they would've been Flock Wallpaper...

They're quite the opposite of boring IMO.

Pink Floyd...boring? OK, Maybe Atom Heart Mother (an album im not too found of, though still good) is boring in a way, but otherwise, they're not generally boring.
