Why all the Labrie hating?
His voice is probably the reason I started listening to Dream Theater
So I think he shouldn't be replaced but if he must...Jonsi would provide an interesting listen LOL

The only thing that could replace LaBrie would be Labrie 93'...that would be awesome.

About "feeling" i wouldnt say he has ANY feeling at all, specially the past few years where his technique is perfect, he sings every lyric you give him, using mainly same technique the entire CD. How the hell could you express different lyrics using same technique...something LaBrie does, and suddenly some call it "feeling". Dead

LaBrie is perfect for them. And whether you like him or not, he will stay.

He has gotten MUCH better, if you dont belive me, go out and buy SCORE, he;s great on it. He has a new voice teacher and a new vocal sound, whihc allows him to sing live, and has a clear and better style.

However, if he was to be replaced, Russel Allen would do some great stuff.
I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

Personally, I think LaBrie is pretty cool. I wouldn't change a thing.

i don't think anyone could possibly replace labrie.
however, if one must be chosen, how about bruce dickinson? i mean, iron maiden did ask labrie to join back in 1993.

King Diamond, Ronnie James Dio, or Gene Ween.

Or all three at the same time. That would be the sickest metal band ever.

I like DT, but am by no means a die hard, all out fan.  I'd like to point out how LaBrie's vocals are a part of DT the same way Jon Anderson is a part of yes, or Geddy a part of Rush ( two people I've heard other people gripe about).  I dont think I would like DT the same way I do now.

Wow! He slipped my mind completely. That would be cool.
I can hear him singing Voices right now. Oh...but could he hit that high note?

Why this idea of replacing LaBrie? Does DT need a new vocalist? I'm sure that if LaBrie ever considers to quit DT, they'll find a replacement. Maybe James Hetfield, he'll be unemployed by then.LOL. Just kidding.

after like 10 studio albums or whatever... LaBrie's voice is too much "the voice of dream theater". Replacing him would be just odd, although they could use a better vocalist, atleast one who can hit the notes live. Labrie always sucked live. He used to be amazing in the studio, [Images, Awake, Change of Seasons] but in the new recordings he is not isn't that good in the studio... the vocals on Octavarium are good but it's not like when you heard their early albums it was like "wow, this vocalist".

There is not point of having a "clean high notes" singer when he can't actually reech high notes anymore... but what can you do? LOL

I'm not a big fan of DT, but I like a lot of their stuff.  For me, Scenes was the first album where I could actually stand listening to LaBries voice.  Since then, I would say he has improved quite a bit.  But there is still something about his style that just bugs me.  Having said that, I'd say that he is pretty much the voice of DT and that replacing him would change the whole sound of the band.

If Labrie HAD to be replaced I would definitely say John Arch. His impressive EP A Twist of Fate shows that his voice is in fine working order after almost 16 away from music..Geoff Tate is a terrible choice, his voice is nothing like it used to be,he just doesn't have the range anymore.
