There is one Troll/Altmayer track on the excellent Musea zeuhl sampler 'Enneade' which is really sweet. Don't make the mistake I did of getting the only available LP/CD 'Troll 2' I left my copy next to garbage bins outside Tescos with a warning note.

Yuko, a question for you on two French bands: Verto and Vortex.
They are on the ZART (Zeuhl/Avant/RIO Team) list of to be added bands (after voting). Not much info is to be found on them (and their albums are not too easy to find either and sample are also hard to come by).
You know them? If so (and you probably do), what are your thoughts?

Hi avers,

Vortex are an essential part of the Zeuhl ZigZaw so please add 'em !

Verto is kinda like NWW meets Heldon. Very avant-garde

This Tesco's place sounds alot like this Nameless Thrift store i live near (with nothing but Kenny G albums.. And the occasional Asia Cassette Tape). But somehow everytime my little brothers goes down there he come's back with a cup warmer, and a 50 cent popcorn maker.

Both Hellebore and Vortex are available in binary. God knows where  to find 'em though. Musea perhaps ?

Anyone know anything about this band? They are hear on the archives under prog-folk, but they were no that guy's list

Saga De Ragnar Lodbrock

I was a little sucked in via the Tolkien Zeuhl

This is the review someone wrote on this site.

SAGA DE RAGNAR LODBROCK — Saga De Ragnar Lodbrock

Review by hola

4 stars What to say, this album scares me so much, it has voices throw silence, and you feel being into a medieval casttle, with a ghostly man singing in the dark....well, that was my first impressions when i heard this album, and certainly has strong moments how it has weak instances...well, i recommend to people who loves hearing a voice who is the leader of the music....maybe you'll feel dissapointed, because it isn't true prog, but it you appreciatte all the experimental grounds musicians could explore, i say go and hear in a cd store this disc, and if you like it, buy it!!

Also love this one:

Sleaze Art - decidedly crowds, where never a quintetto has been looked at of low electrical workers! Bass zeuhl.

Welcome back BV !

I could swear I've heard the Saga De Ragnar Lodbrock LP. Can't say for sure whether it is Tolkien Zeuhl or CS Lewis Zeuhl. Hola's review sounds like it would be right up your avenue !
