Hi, Ghost Rider:
I'm having dificulties to get access to the Arion name. A friend of
mine told me that when he looked for the name Arion he found about 30
entries, mostly showning the forum about the band, but none was the
biography. I tried it myself and I found the same results. The only way
to look for it was through the genre, symphonic prog. Is that permanent
or does it take some time to access the biography thru name only? Could
you clarify this for me?
Thanks a lot

Hi, progbrazil:
Nice to meet you. Yes, Eyes Of Time is a great song on the CD, but my
favorite is still Land Of Dreams. Do you know it? This was the last
song they played when they opened for Focus when this dutch prog legend
played in Belo Horizonte.
Best wishes

Hi Tarcísio.
You are right. I have listened all CD, and I can't decide what song is better.
Nice to meet you too. I hope we will add many more bands here.
Thank you for this topic.

Moura,
One alternative path.
1. Go to "Switch Index" (ProgArchives homepgae) and click Symphonic Prog.
2. There you'll find a list of bands and then click Arion. The bandpage will open.

Hello, Flávio:
It's always good to meet someone who enjoys good music. Yes, I think
the whole CD is a masterpiece, no wonder I worked so hard for Arion to
be included here, I think they deserve the recognition. Anyway I heard
T6ania Braz is working now in a solo CD and I'm eager to hear from it.
If I can get a hold of it I'll tell you.
Best wishes

I was listening to Arion today, it is really great, not to mention emotional and moving.
Not so sure if it could be called Neo though.

Really it's in the limit, has elements of both, the lush keyboards are 100% Symphonic but the guitar a la Rothery sounds as Neo Prog.
Anyway it's an excellent band and we are happy to keep them in Symphonic.

Hello Waywardson:
Well, I was glad to see them labeled as symphonic prog, because that's
what i think they really are (plus a few elements of neo prog in some
guitar solos). You can find them now in the ProgArchives on the
symphonic prog category. For some reason an * was added to their
name (Arion*), probably to avoid confusion with the Arion music label
in europe. Anyway I'm really glad they are included in this site and in
this category (you have to go there to find them).
Best regards

Tomorrow I will receive the Arion CD, I hope to review it the same day I am looking forward to the vintage keyboard sound, I love to be flooded by Moogs, Hammonds and Mellotrons

Guigo, doesn't the asterisk mean they are a new addition? I added Arion myself, and I had all relevant information at my disposal.

HI, Guigo:
If there's any information missing, I'd be glad to give it. But really,
is it the case? I think everything that was asked was provided. Anyway,
if so, just ask.

Hello Tarcisio.
That Arion CD must be really good to please me if there is no Mellotron on it ..
I remember another wonderful Brasilian symphonic rock band using much Grand piano, that was Loch Ness on their album Prologue, this evoked a lot of tension with the harder-edged electric guitar
I hope to hear your comment on my review...
