Is it the same difference that separates religion from science?

I don't belive it should be.
Some religious beliefs can be supported or shown clearer through science.
What is the best feeling ever?

Perhaps because one relies on facts and speculations and the other relies on faith and speculations?

Are scientific facts more reliable than religious facts?

Is this a trick question?
Scientific facts are based on calculations and observations and religious facts are based on interpretations of history, are they not?

Observations, mathematical equations, experiments and the like, no?

Yes, can we rely on the results of such experiments?

If the path leading to the conclusion is documented in a detailed way, why should'nt we?

How can we be sure that we're not being lead to a wrong conclusion?

Well, a conclusion reached by certain scientists is always questioned by other scientists, therefore leaving no place for absolutes, at the opposite of religion. Isn't it one of science's high points, to always question itself ?

Isn't the goal of science (and religion) to find out the truth, which cannot be questioned?

Would'nt they be better off trying to find that said truth together as THE truth is probably found in a combination of both doctrines?

Isn't that exactly why religion should never have been separated from science?

Isn't it due to the Christian institution's hypocrisy and thirst for power in the middle of the last millenium that they were separated, except when science served Christianity's interests?

If they hadn't been separated, would science have developed in a different direction?

Probably not in a different direction, but it might have evolved more rapidly, don't you think?
