Topic: My Radio Show Posted: September 03 2006 at 15:02 |
Hey guys, as many may know I am a DJ at my college's radio station, and this semester my show will be on every Sunday night from 9pm-12am. It probably won't be of interest to most dwellers of PA because I play mostly metal, but I've been known to throw on some prog tracks now and again (not to mention plenty of prog metal).
Anyway, just because our radio signal doesn't reach beyond Floyd County, VA, doesn't mean that the rest of the world can't listen online!
We stream in OGG format, so you'll need Winamp to listen. But all you have to do is right click in Winamp's main window, hit Play --> URL, and copy and paste this link:
http://engine.collegemedia.vt.edu:8000/wuvt.ogg
Feel free to listen or even call in a request! I also usually have a computer with me, so you can send requests or comments to my AIM address (see member profile).

Well, I try to stick to the format of my show, but we have an extensive library of about 40 years of rock, jazz, experimental, metal, hip hop, electronic, and international music, plus whatever I bring with me. So yes, you can request anything, but whether or not I play it is a different story... ![Tongue](smileys/smiley17.gif) I can tell you right now that we have no neo-prog whatsoever.

I've actually played King Crimson, Genesis, Rush, Jethro Tull, Aphrodite's Child and Porcupine Tree in the context of a metal show, and all have worked pretty well.
