Gamecube rules for the simple fact that Mario Kart: Double Dash is the greatest racing game ever invented.
end of story, the rest of you are wrong. |

Hell no!
Mario Kart 64 was soooo much better. Better maps and less confusing, not to mention a lot of the excellent original weapon options were left out of the Gamecube version.

It was pretty great. It was pretty piss-poor for shooters, though. Terrible controller setup by default, but still had some great games.

Oh yeah! I never bought any shooters on it. I played them all at friend's houses and they blew. Playstation 2 is excellent for those. I actually liked the controller set up, but it was hard to use the digital pad on the left, but it's not like it was used anyway...

Yeah, it was. Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye, ah... the good old days. But man Smash Bros. Melee's gotta be the most incredible game ever in terms of replay value. So I'd almost pick Gamecube for that game alone. |

Gamecube because of :-
Metroid Prime Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Resident Evil 4 The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Super Mario Sunshine Super Smash Bros. Melee F-Zero GX Pikmin 2 Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Animal Crossing The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures Star Fox Adventures Tales of Symphonia All original exclusives and all good fun. No generic FPS, driving or sport sims there (which the PC does better anyway) And the NDS rocks as well PS. You will all come crawling back to Nintendo when the Wii come out! |

I agree i have agamecube and i have hade great fun with it and i have played most of the games on your list and some other and its a great system not in the same class as the Snes but its very undearated. I get so tierd of poeple saying the Cube is yust for children and PS2 is for real men i dont agree at all there is hardly any games that intrests me for the PS2 and allmost all on the cube are fun, the cube is the "progrock" console and ps2 is the "sellout britney spears" consol. I can't believe the Genesis is doing so badly...much prefer it to the NES/SNES.
And as a PS2 owner, I understand its popularity but also a limit to its quality; there's no way it's the greatest games console to walk this earth. |

The Mac is the best of the lot, IMHO, but short-sighted software mfrs usually overlook it as a gaming platform.

I know that the latest gaming devices are far more advanced but I've had the most fun on the Nintendo 64.
