I was just checking out the OSI page on the site and noticed that the limited edition of their debut album has been added as a different entry than the regular release. What's the use of this, since most of the albums on the site have the limited edition bonus disc(s) added to the entry of the regular issue?

There's probably a few like that, the policy on limited editions etc. was only clarified this year.

But how about this, Marillion have revised and released various different (thus not as in "limited edition") versions of their Crash Course and Marillion.co.uk cd's.. in my opinion these should be considered as individual entries because of the different years, tracklists and artwork.

What do you think?

I agree Tristan. The fact that they have the same names does not in that case mean they are variations of the same albums.
 
Peter Gabriel's first four albums fall into that category too.
