  Might start a thread about The Human League. I have (subconsciously) ? mentioned them well more than I should. Possible zeuhl connection ? haha ! But there was a definate connection between the water supplies of Sheffield, UK and Nancy, France. Just have to prove it

Haha, I think you would be more than welcome to start a thread. But then again it depends a lot of how many people are farmilar with the band, it would be interesting to see what sort of replies you would get.
I would definately agree there are ties from UK and France, just think how close they are. Surely some ideas were smuggled across the channel.

I was just listening to a CD this morning upon waking up and I was wondering what people thought of Shub-Niggurath's 1991 album C'Étaient De Très Grands Vents. I know nearly every man and his dog has heard there first and this seemingly get mixed reaction. But for me personally I have grown a percuilar like towards this second fully album of theirs. Needless to say it a far it more experimental than their first but giving persistance this is something very worth while. I just want to know what other people think? Also is their '94 album worth getting. The site only has one rating with no reviews at all.

Also is there no love on this site for Olive Mess or Uppsala?

Ah yes you are very correct with your second guess. Not to mention good seeing another Henry Cowell fan . The band was named after the 20th century French composser Olivie Messian. Also not to mention the bands love for Olives For a lativan band they have a lot of French influecnce (especially in there lyrics), hence the Zeuhl leanings in their music. They are quite an odd band, mixing what seems to me tradional Latvian folk music with dark Zeuhl passages. I have written their bio for this site if you want a little more information. And yes they are Zeuhl.

Yes for some reason I cannot really explain why I like their second so much, I think it has something to do with the atomsphere. It is really something hard to explain.

Thank you for this. Most of the strickly LP ones go straight over my head, Other than Eider Stellaire some of the names sound vage but that is about the extent of things. Luckly enough I have a vinyl play, it is just the prices of the actual vinyl which is going to be the issue here

 

On the CD side of things they are looking better. I have heard of all of those bands by name, but not on musical terms. I have been looking into Archaia though, from discriptions I have heard this one is really interesting me. Supposedly very dark atomsphere (correct me if I am wrong), figurse when looking at the cover!

 

Also I read your review on Hellebore, which kept me thorough entertain (needless to comment of the humour throughout ), and to say the least has intreged my mind.

     Yes I know that is a shocking review. Any way to edit these ?

    I can't quite make ol' Copey out. For someone who has a blind love of krautrock and Magma and regularly writes about obscure progresssive music from around the world he does love to sl*g off the ol' prog. I like his writing style and have a couple of books of his but he seems to try too hard to force an image of himself.
