Over land and under ashes
In the sunlight, see - it flashes
Find a fly and eat his eye
But don't believe in me
Don't believe in me
Don't believe in me

Nice to see a few votes in the 16-25 category. The future of prog looks in good hands!
Today, I am 47, and been into prog since about 14 years of age (1973).
Had some time away from it in the '80s, but the last three years I have got back into it with a vengeance!

I'm too old to rock n roll; too young to be rock & rolling in my grave.
Mid-30's, which means I'm well into middle age going by the poll results. I think I'm experiencing a mid-life crisis a few years before I expected to have one.
Considering prog's heday was in the early to mid-70's (and as a 70's
baby I was too young to fully experience and appreciate it), I might
have thought that I'd be one of the youngsters here before joining this
site.
Great to see that kids are still rockin' to prog ,
no matter what subgenre it is, and even if I don't consider what some
of them listen-to to be truly progressive, artistic, or with any merit
whatsoever.
Rock on prog kids, rock on!

^ that's terribly impressive.
A special collab and music specialist by that age! At your age
the only thing I was interested in was getting drunk and picking-up
chicks -- usually in that order.

I
have no interest in getting drunk at this time in my life, and I have a
girlfriend so I'm not worrying about picking up chicks. I just have way
too much time on my hands.
|
Ah, having a girlfriend explains it. Is it serious?
When I got into a serious relationship the partying stopped, and I
found myself wanting to retreat more and more into a world of my own
musings (writing at boards these days). It's my primary means for
giving time to myself, but I still have constant distractions (one
young child and another on the way).
I must admit I prefer having time on my hands than a woman in my hands
these days... Now a woman in each hand, that would be an altogether
different matter.
