From my review in Background Magazine:

QUIKION –RAMADAN

(2004, 46.20, Poseidon PRF-018/Gazul-Musea Records )

Here is a very surprising progressive effort from Japanese trio Quikion, a trio featuring members on vocals, concertina, harmonium, toys, percussions, guitar, buzouki, tampura, accordion, glockenspiel, psaltery and pianica. So a wide range of instruments and not the most usual as you can read. During my first session with this CD I was blown away by the virtuosic, often swirling play on the accordion and the powerful female vocals, splendid! During the 12 songs you can enjoy a kind of progressive folk, often Russian overtones, at some moments Indian (Eastern Asia) with tampura and sitar and at other moments Irish or Greek (bouzouki). But the focus remains on the great accordion play, if you like this kind of music, you will be delighted with this amazing CD!

How about KTU with Kimmo "Hendrix of the accordion" Pohjonen with King Crimson's Pat Mastelotto and Trey Gunn and Samuli Kosminen on sampler.  Their album 8-Armed Monkey is a superb blend of out-there rock which gets fairly proggy in places.
Here's my review

As far as I remember, you can hear accordion on the recent Ian Anderson / Jethro Tull records, played by Andrew Giddings.

Erik, do you know where I can order it (I'm from Poland)? I checked a polish net shop fan.pl and it seems the album is unavailable now... I would really like to hear that!

Jethro Tull, especially their later stuff (typically live). A lot of Ian Anderson albums have accordian as well, including Secret Language of Birds and Rupi's Dance. The JT Christmas Album has a liberal use of the quirky instrument as well.

Anderson jokes around with Giddings on the Living with the Past DVD (I believe) about how he (Giddings) hates to play the thing, but Anderson "makes him."

If you like Jazz-accordian music you could pick up Dave Douglas's Charms of the Night Sky. As far as prog goes, I don't know about accordian being present, although the KTU suggestion by a previous replyer might suffice. I have heard both of these before and hopefully won't disappoint.

I'm sure PFM used an accordian on the "Cook" album; the track 'Celebration' comes to mind . . . And they really used it well, too!

And, of course, Keith Emerson played that b*****d thing for Greg Lake's 'C'est la Vie' during the Works Orchestral tour; but then, that's not really "prog" now is it?
Cheers!
