In 1980 I wrote in Frank Zappa for President. Too bad he's gone, I'd write him in again. |

You can guarantee Mr Z is up there begging God for just enough time back on earth.......... "come on God, just one more album!!!" - can you imagine what he would make of the last few years...? BTW - that is one website I'm gonna have to visit more often; scathing satire like that is all too rare! |

New developments...apparently there's copyright infringement alleged here. JibJab should talk to Weird Al about parody copyright issues. http://money.cnn.com/2004/07/26/commentary/wastler/wastler/i ndex.htm?cnn=yes |

How ridiculous.... Two minutes after the election the clip will be gone forever, except an archive for crappy campaigns. Who really cares? Woody Guthrie's tune is so old it's as much public domain as the Star Spangled Banner and Rosanne Barr didn't get sued for what she did to it at that baseball game a few years ago. Satire is an art-form and pressure reducer. Those asshole lawyers need to get a life (Sorry Ivan, ). |

Yeh, they should just be glad that their song is getting some publicity again.

This may mean little to non UK citizens, but splendid satire, all the same (background, the UK government are issuing leaflets on how to deal with national emergency/terrorist situations).
www.preparingforemergencies.co.uk Check it out quick, the government has insisted the site be closed down, the author has refused, and the government are "taking advice" on the matter. Edited by Jim Garten |
