Subscribers to the box set got a 3" cd single as a bonus item, so maybe that's where the reference to the 7 disc set came from.
 
There are also 2 versions of the set available; the debut album was issued as a stand alone release a couple of months ahead of the box, so ReR Uk are selling the box set minus the debut album at a slightly reduced price (40 pounds instead of 45). Presumably ReR USA are doing the same thing, so if you've got the first album that could be your best bet. You don't have to have a credit card - you can always post a cheque/money order, which takes a little longer but has always worked OK for me.
 
With regards to price, the box set is excellent value. Buying the CDs individually, assuming they were all available, would cost almost twice as much at HMV or Virgin (who typically charge 13 pounds plus ofr ReR CDs), and you wouldn't get the booklet or the box. I'm not so sure about US prices, but I'd imagine it's a similarly attractive deal.

Just noticed Cuneiform have Hamster Theatre - The Public Execution of Mister Personality/Quasi Day Room.

A 2-in-1 album.

Is this worth getting?

Cuneiform have a whole stack of albums I really want to get!  Harry Miller's Isipingo - Which Way Now is one such album!

Anyway, here is a thread I posted about the recently added French RIO/Avant band Wapassou:
 
I think the good people participating in this thread probably have the answer we are looking for. I'll just paste here what I posted there:

Sean Trane has added the French band Wapassou to the RIO/Avant prog category.
 
He has added their 4 albums but the fifth one called Genuine has not been added due to lack of information.
 
What we do have is the album cover art and the catalogue number - STERNE 26512.
 
I call upon anyone having this information to post it here so we can add this album to their discography.

PS, for those of you who want to know what this is all about here you go:
 
 
Wapassou is one of those hard to classify prog group, not really on the rock side of prog, but it would be a shame not to include it, the same way Art Zoyd or Univers Zero are in the archives. Their music is a mix of classical with meditative (almost hippie) moments and spacey ethereal music. Their line-up is just about as unconventional as there is no drums and bass guitar, concentrating between violin, electric guitars and organs. Sounds intriguing? Well it is.

Their first album is still a rough draft of their music to come, but by 76, they were really settled down with their unique sounds somehow between Popol Vuh, Catharsis, Univers Zero and Opus Avantra. Messe En ré Mineur is a double album, and was quite an artistic success. Understandably so, Wapassou repeated the formula for their next two albums with the same kind of success, those three albums apparently forming a trilogy (which have been re-issued by Musea). They had quite a bit of gigs for a period of three years, which left them quite exhausted by the end of the decade.

The group went on to record one other album on a different label then folded as the decade unfolded into the next one.

WAPASSOU is one of the most original French Progressive rock bands ! Recorded in 1974, the eponymous album of keyboardist Freddy BRUA and friends shows a music in the same category as the first PINK FLOYD, AMON DÜÜL II, CZAR or ASH RA TEMPEL albums. We can find here some throbbing and varied melodies. The numerous flute, guitar, clarinet and sitar lines are an ideal counterpart to a true rock feeling. It also includes some guests among which Benoit MOERLEN at the percussions, also coming from Strasbourg. As a bonus, the Musea reissue includes two tracks originally issued as singles. On the following albums, WAPASSOU reaffirmed their originality: the formula is then based on keyboards, violin and guitar combinations and structures. BACH and WAGNER seem to be the obvious references here. "Salammbô" (1977) was inspired by the works of Gustave FLAUBERT. The enchanting ambiences develop along repetitive organ and violin sequences, which give this music a kind of dark solemnity and symphonicism. Not to be missed !

The prices are similar, slightly more expensive from my store, but I'm sure postage to Australian is not going to be little bit more than most places. I think I am going to stick with the 6 disc box set for the time being. I only have their first album in mp3 formate so it is not a worry for me with getting doubles of CD. But thanks for the help. I did have a look on ebay last night though and it was silly some of the prices they were going for, so they were not cheap but in fact more expensive.

Have you heard any Hamster Theatre? I cannot remember if I passed on the recording I have of them. I have an hour live radio session they did back a little while ago which is a good indication of their sound. But unforunately this is the only Hamster Theatre I have heard.

Yes you did, I've yet to listen to it, but I shall do.  Apparently that release is for 2006, so it looks like a new album.  The second disc is live.

Looks like it could be a good buy.

I'm quite sure this is their lastest studio offering. If you like the bands sound this would be a good way to start, considering their other two album are now OOP so your only chance to get your hands on them would be second hand. There are two reviews on the site for this album, I have not read through them but they might be of some help in the purchase. Overall from what I have heard of their material they are quite a nice band and defiantely talented musicans, so I doubt you will be getting any sloppy amature work.

And least of all you cannot go past this vote about the band

Assaf, in regard to Wapassou I have not been able to find any information... sorry. But I have noticed when looking around there is another album they release after this fifth album called Orchestra 2001 - Le lac d'argent which came out in 1986. I'm not sure whether people were awear of this?

Oh, also something of interest. Hopefully sometime today or tomorrow I am going down to my second handstore. They have DAAU - We Need New Animals. It is only $8US. Which albums do you have, is this one of their better ones?

OH DAAU is a great band, with albums different from each other as if they are from different bands altogether.
I have:
Life Transmission (still need to hear it some more)
Magisches theater eintritt etc (excellent stuff. classic music with some rock in it. Chamber rock)
Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain (heard it only once)
 
Regarding New Animals, I think that for 8$ you can't go wrong...

I will tell everyone what I think about the band when I hopefully purchase it. For some reason it has been hiding from me in the Electronic/Ambient section of the store. Not exactly the place I was expecting for it to be.

I also did a search for Wapassou and couldn't find anything.

However, original vinyls for that particular album seem readily available and quite cheap, so it maybe worth someone buying a copy.

As Adam noted, there is also a 1986 album and again, little information is available.

It's frustrating that so little information about albums is online for a lot of bands.  I tried searching for track timings for something the other day, without much luck.  You'd think the Internet would have such information, but no!

I thought I would post this hear as I think this might be one of the right target audiences for this music. This is some compositions by Fourside (who people should know from this thread). Just thought I would give some promotion to this fantastic music as I think people hear will be able appreciate it and give some feed back for his future endeavors.

Yeah, I think it would be best as I have heard nothing from them as of yet. Their email is found on their offical site, I cannot remember it off the top of my head at the moment. Hopefully you have a bit more luck.

Sure, you speak French as well, don't you Assaf?  It maybe worth a go, especially as they're French speakers.

I'm happy for you to do so, especially as you said you had a pretty good record with hearing back from bands.
