You wish. I'm really not in a rush to get in any relationships now to be honest.  Relationships at my age are many times as meaningful as VelvetClown's posts.  Most girls in my grade I'm not interested in persoanlity-wise and the few that really do interest me either have boyfriends or I don't have the balls to ask them out (usually the latter though )

Man, you have to fix your "balls" problem. Live alone because of being affraid to say "I'm interested in you" is not wothy, and also it becomes an habit. I have a very lonelly cousin who has reached the end of that obscure behaviour: paying for sex or company. Believe me; you don't wanna go there. Find you balls, they are closer than you think...

I hope shes wrong though; that would be a bit embarrasing. It is not difficult to find real love; you just have to be honest with yourself in terms of what you are looking for, know for sure what is important and what is shallow, be a gentlemen (not kidding) and love yourself (in a healthy way that is). Other tips: think about girls as human beings, not stereotypes; be respectfull, but truly respectfull of their individuality, take the time to know her, etc. I know this for truth, since I'm bald, tiny, a bit fat (but I love food, and one day I'm going to day, and I don't want to think something like "I should have tried that chocolate; now I'm goig to die and I'm not happy"), and I always had good relations with the opposite sex. I think I met great people, clever, creative, interesting people; and then I met Mercedes, she is the best companion I'll ever know. I love her. But it took me 3 years to convince her about the benefis of having her own writter/storyteller/melomaniac/rare bird.

Not that the rest of what you wrote wasn't good, but this is essential info for the hopeless ones. I never had any problems (well, post early teens), but I also have as many female friends, as male ones.

Yeah, it's not as hard as you think, really. Just have confidence in yourself and if you get turned down..oh well, it's not like it's never happened to anybody.

¿Would you please answer one thing about that? ¿Why getting married? Many of my friends that are also involved in same-sex relationships often talk about how bad they want to get married, while I think "¿Why would you want that?. You are free, you love each other; why mimic that behaviour, when you have the chance to make your own rules. ¿Is there any advantage, or you just wanted to?. The reason I'm asking this is related to the fact that this country does not allow same-sex marriages. My friends are alwasy talking about that. I know, if it is your wish, nobody should be allowed to say "No". But it sounds so right wing (sorry, ritghwingers); getting married, the mountain of kinds, live a boring life...

Andy, would you allow me to disagree? I don't usually like b*stards, at least not those who are explicitly so... and many so-called 'nice' men go for nasty women who make them suffer, then complain that they can't find good women... the thing is, when they find them, they're often not interested!

The thing is, men and women have undoubtedly different points of view... I've suffered a lot because of men, but I still prefer them to women as friends and colleagues.

easy? I don't even talk to a single girl on a regular basis at my school. It's almost as if I'm not allowed to. But, it doesn't mean anywhere near as much to me as it used to, and music (esp prog) has helped fill that hole, so I can live alone and be OK with it

it's easy, Ivan, you just need to have a car,  a bottomless credit card,  and be a good boy and do what you're told!!LOL (and not mind if they don't want it tonite).

Fred, would you believe that I'm not interested in any of these things? I have my own credit cards, thank you, I can travel by bus (and I usually do), and I hate ordering people about. As to wanting it tonite... it depends on the other person (but it's not really the time nor the place to discuss thatEmbarrassed). The result is that I'm alone, while probably the women you described have much more luck...Unhappy

And Ivan, my dear friend...Hug

Really, the best advice someone gave me in regards to meeting the opposite sex is to just be yourself.
It took me a long time to realize this!<img

Well, I'm assured there would be no problem if I could ever find somebody that's not "taken." Disapprove Everybody's too busy "waiting to get dumped" in another relationship.

Women on the other hand are attracted to guys that have a reasonable amount of success because they all have the same radar to pick out the losers (or boring push-along) and then they all run after the same guy, which happens to become an utter prick and treats them bad, because the women chasing him become push-along themselves.

The thing is, men and women have undoubtedly different points of view...

I've suffered a lot because of men, but I still prefer them to women as friends and colleagues.  >> This is a fairly common thing: Women actually seem to be very hyprocrits in their female frienships, which is why they are often preferring men >>>>  problem is that men do not have to be careful when they are amongst themselves, and unfortunately have to very careful if they have female friends. But men make so much better friends than women do.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

Bulls***. Women don't like when I be myself. (I'm very random, stupid, and intelligent at the same time. I annoy people on accident). They like it when I'm placid - wait, most don't really care for me at all (except as a friend, dammit). Angry

I need more self esteem...LOL

I got it! I'll run 10 miles a day so I run a sub 18 minute 5k and I make varsity! That'll show everyone I'm not a loserWink.
