People often say that prog covers everything.

Well, can you think of prog albums or bands to cover each of the continents on earth?

- Africa
- Antartica
- Asia
- Australasia
- Europe
- North America
- South America

south america has plenty of wonderful bands. I nominate Crucis but there are a wide range of bands in various styles. also from Asia I votinate RUINS RUINS RUINS RUINS RUINS!

edit: what I just wrote doesn't have anything to do with the topic, I think. it looks like we're looking for bands or albums who have music based on each continent? So Genesis' Selling England by the Pound, for example?

That's right. I don't mean bands from those place but bands who have produced music influenced by those places.

Here's an example:

Africa - Ozric Tentacle's Hidden Step album is based on Egyptian sounds.

I know them from a videoclip I saw on youtube.com. I don't think the Pakistani traditional music is very present in their music though. Better check out 'Ragas and sagas' by Jan Garbarek + Ustad Fateh Ali Khan & musicians from Pakistan if you want to be submerged in Pakistan music.
