No it isn't. If it was called soccer, the international governing body would be called FISA rather than FIFA.

The "Tongue" emoticon usually implies that somebody is either joking or not serious.

Apparently the addressee understood differently! Smile

The Texans will do better than in previous years but still have a losing record, as will the the Saints.
The Cardinals may make the playoffs if not they will be close, if they do make the playoffs they won't advance.
The Raiders will have the worst record in the NFL followed by the 49ers.
If the Colts had a better running game they would win the Superbowl next season, it'll be a team from the south, maybe the Bucs or the Panthers.
Also Denver and NY Giants will do good.

it's gotta be Steelers all the way!  Thumbs Up

...not to mention the Hokies Embarrassed

now THAT's football. Wink

Steelers winning last year was the biggest fluke I'd seen in my life. If not for the critical injury in the Bengals game they would have been crushed, and then The Colts had their game won after that botched run but because of terrible play calling *sigh*.

My blind faith tells me The Eagles will come out on top as it does every year, but logically I'm feeling really confident about The Panthers.
agreed.  The Eagles have a good chance, but I feel more confident about the Panthers this year.

As for that bizarre rugby-with-body-armour affair that the ex-colonials are so fond of, I predict that this season's Superdish finalists will be the Arkansas Rednecks and the Tampa Bay Tampons, with the Arkansas Rednecks to win on points after photo finish in the 12th round.

Sorry Tony but ELP fan burning was made illegal a few years ago under a protection order. Its also environmentally unfriendly. However dismembering Dream Theater and Marillion fans is allowed plus anyone admitting to owning a Pavlovs Dog album. You are also allowed to give a sharp poke in the eye to anyone claiming that Gentle Giant are the best band ever.

Weren't they, the Polish, Olympic Champions in 1972? Tongue

Later they got two WC 3rd places in 1974 (defeating Brazil) and 1982 (defeating France).

Few people know but Poland is the team that scored more goals against Brazil. In the WC 1938 they had 5... but the final result was Brazil 6 x Poland 5. Wink

Wow what a punishment handed out today to the 4 Italian Clubs!

Serie A sides Juventus, Lazio and Fiorentina have been demoted to the second division for their involvement in Italy's match-fixing scandal.
Juventus were also stripped of their last two Serie A titles and had 30 points deducted, meaning they are likely to stay down for two seasons.

AC Milan will stay in Serie A but will start the season docked 15 points.

All are barred from competing in Europe - Juventus, Milan and Fiorentina the Champions League; Lazio the Uefa Cup.

Lazio were penalised seven league points while Fiorentina suffered a 12-point penalty.

I guess they will appeal.

...never in a million years would the FA or Premier League have the guts to do anything like that..........you have to applaud the regulatory body in Italy for being tough - although it's interesting that Berlusconi's team gets the lightest sentence...Wink

Thirteen of Italy's World Cup-winning squad play for the clubs involved, with five at Juventus, who also number Patrick Vieira, Lilian Thuram, David Trezeguet, Pavel Nedved and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in their ranks.

Many of them are expected to seek transfers to other leading clubs in Italy or Europe to limit the damage to their careers.

Let the scramble begin.....

A fair sacrifice would be the English, after all, they are all made as welcome as a fart in spacesuit, wherever they go.

I guess they can't let go of the old empire, that the US made them dump after WW2.

Yeah but they got a 15 point deduction so they won't be champions this year. They also cannot compete in European championships.
