Topic: Would you rather go deaf or blind? Posted: July 07 2006 at 00:16 |
In my Saga thread this came up, and I though, Hey, why not make a poll about it?
I can't decide, and I'm going to have to sleep on it. :-)

Blind! Deafness,in the context of loving music and of constantly having music "by my side",would kill me.

wow thats a toughie. I think I'm gonna go with blind, because in my blindness I would still have my music to help me through the emotional struggle of losing sight, what would help me emotionally through deafness? porn?

Blind easily. You can get books on tape. You still have music, and any girl you have sex with is a winner.

I read somewhere human depends about 70-80% on sight... But I dont know,, music is just essential for me, and i know for you guys as well!!
So, I'd rather lose my 70-80% of my sense..

Same here! It would be a struggle, for sure, but I'm fairly sure I have a vivid enough imagination to keep myself occupied.

Although being deaf is terrible it has its advantages, you no longer have to listen to discussions, yells, politicians speeches and lousy music. If you have listened lots of prog you can still play it in your mind unless you have bad memory.

As much as I love music, I'd definitely rather go deaf than blind. Blindness would be much more difficult. And, you wouldn't be able to ogle hot chicks either!

With the world f**ked up to such a degree as it is in the moment, I Would rather go blind. I also should add that I would feel the benefits of sharper hearing also!

That's how I see it (no pun intended)... if I had the choice, though. I'd like to go progressively deaf so at least I can remember the music that I like.
