i also like songs i can relate to although this is not always the case. Lots of prog music is not like this and i find it great although not as powerful in the same way as say a song by Bright Eyes or Elliott Smith.

Songs with strange, mystic lyrics gets my mind going. I always find new meanings in such songs, that's why I like them best.
