To broaden people's horizons, but I've been having a writer's block lately. Wouldn't be a bad idea to take a break from the forums, and concentrate on website activity exclusively, not that anyone needs me here anyway.

I came here primarily to learn and find out more about prog rock. I had a fuzzy definition of progressive music back then. Since my arrival here, I really learned a lot. It's a combination of learning, hanging out with actual, existing virtual friends,.... sharing thoughts, inspirations, desperations amongst many others. I can tell all others here that they all suck and read them all come back at me telling that I suck back... but by the end of the day were still "friends"....you know, things like that...

I'm really thankful for this site!!!!

and also to vote in DT polls..... I love DT polls!!!!!

To sigh with dismay at each new Tool/Dream Theater thread.

Oh, and to talk prog with people who know what I'm banging on about for a change.

While it's supposed to be 1st and 2nd option, it's obviously "to vote DT polls"

I initially came here as a Genesis fanboy hoping to learn more about Genesis LOL

Now they are still one of my favorite bands but I know thousands of other bands and I made good friends Tongue

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

Vanya, are you joking?Unhappy Of course we need you! I, for one, enjoy your posts immensely... Clap You've got great sense of humour, which I always appreciate in a person.

BTW, I joined PA first to discuss and learn more about prog rock. Then, as I got more and more into the spirit of the website, I started appreciating the human aspect of the whole thing. Now every day it's like meeting friends for me... and I really love it!Heart

I know what you mean - I came here originally to argue with new and exciting people who at least knew what a Mellotron was, then kept discovering new bands... much to the detriment of my bank account.
