hahahah.... fans like you Tony make this SO much fun to follow....I could imagine it's easier rooting for a team that has no chance... any win is gravy... any loss..expected Wink

not sure of the English defender's name (still watching Spanish T.V. here) but the hustle shown on that play to save a goal.... that was worthy of a Sportcenter moment... he came from nowhere...

Ashley Cole. Great intervention.

We need to pass and move and play it around-this pass it back for the goalie to hoof forward is very poor tactically when you only have the short Rooney up front!

Just back from my work, witnessed the last 30 minutes of the first half between England and Equador, what a poor performance by the English players, where is the spirit, why so defensive, incredible?!
So I hope that in the second half England will play a bit more entertaining and a bit more showing that they believe in winning the World Cup Wacko ..

About Holland-Portugal, for me it's a 50-50 game, BebieM, me and my wife are the only Holland supporters in my house, my best half-Portuguese friend with his Portuguese wife and family are filling my orange embellished living-room Wink ! My prediction: 2-2 (Van Nistelrooij + Van Persie), 3-2 after extra-time, Robben scores Clap !

That's how I see it too, a 50-50 game maybe. 2-1 for Holland would be my bet.

I think Holland will win,but hope that Portugal win as they have over-achieved so far.

I predict 2-0 Holland.

Van Nistelrooy will not start apparently.....

Until 45 minutes before the game coach Marco Van Basten keeps the line-up as a mystery Wacko.  I cannot imagine that he will send Van Nistelrooij to the bench, I presume that he will get another 45 minutes to proove himself, then Dirk Kuijt will be the perfect substitute and perhaps the new center forward. High expectations to Van Persie and Robben, they are expected to make the difference with Protugal, along with Van Der Vaart Clap . Thanks for the confidence Wink ... we will see who will reach the 1/4 finales to meet England that looks far from self-confident and well-organised (bloody coward Ericsson Angry !)...

Well Van Basten appeared to be quoted saying that he will leave Van The Man out. However, this might be his way of getting the most out of Ruud, make him fight for his place.
Man Utd struggled to get any kind of form out of him for the last 6 months of the season. He seems to have lost both sharpness and pace.

We will see.I wish him well because he is a nice guy.

Wow, I just read that Van Nistelrooij will start ... on the bench (like Van Der Vaart)Kees Kuyt is our new forward player .. he is very, very motivated and more capable to keep the ball in the team Thumbs Up !

Well it's pretty easy to guess that the first sentence says that the "Oranges"(not Orangemen surely?) are going to start with Dirk Kuyt.
