Just wanted to let you know about Bilbo's Prog Show which my internet radio show on Delicious  Agony every Monday at 10pm UK time and 5pm Eastern time.

For those of you who have never checked out Delicious Agony, we are on the air 24/7 with a lot of live shows of which mine is one. To prove it is live and not pre recorded, you can add the show to your MSN contacts and interact with me during the show, telling me what you like or dislike, or what you do and don't want to hear.

Station webpage address to connect to the stream is: www.deliciousagony.com

The MSN address to add me to your contacts is: [email protected]

Part way through the show I have a feature called 'From Genesis To Revelation' which is a section with nothing but Genesis and Genesis related music.

I have a tendancy to kick the show off with something that is not necessarily Prog Rock related, but this radically changes into a show that brings the classic, and sometimes little known music of the Golden era of Progressive Rock..the seventies, right the way through to the current day Prog scene!

Tomorrow night I will feature some tracks from the latest album by Lord Of Mushrooms, 'Seven Deadly Songs' and there will be plenty of classic prog to keep you listening throughout the 3 hour show! I will even start the show with The Scorpions as my non prog opener! I wonder which track that will be? See if you can guess...smiles

Please feel free to join me tomorrow night...and do sign on to MSN as that really makes the show work even better!

I listen occasionally to Delicious Agony and to Aural Moon and find them to have some very nice shows. Although I prefer to decide what I will listen to, I do enjoy tuning in to the shows there and enjoy an unknown playlist. But there is not always enough variation in the genres represented, althuogh some pretty underrepresented bands do get air in those stations.
I will try and listen to your show if I can.

Just a technical question: do I have to download Winamp or other such stuff, and pay for it? No problem about that, but I'd like to know for sure.

Nope...no subscription and although Winamp is a nicer program to use, Windows Media Player, as supplied with Windows, should do the job!

I love Delicious Agony... I'd say it's definitely the best online radio station out there. I've listened to your show before, but I didn't know you posted here; good to see you around Smile.

And to whoever asked, no, you don't have to download Winamp, I listen to DA through iTunes. Although, as was already said, Winamp is free anyways so it shouldn't be a problem.

a free player I found for windows a couple years ago called JetAudio is awesome, plays like every known format and has a nice small footprint, loads faster than WinAmp, http://www.download.com/JetAudio-Basic/3000-2167-10013740.html?part=dl

I also have a radio station www.progrock.com and you can tune in from WinAmp or Jetaudio with http://boa.mediacast1.com:9288/prog1.ogg we use Ogg Vorbis instead of MP3 streams to support open format. We have a song library of over 15,000 songs and a very easy to use request system as well as some live DJ'd shows.

That said, any internet DJ's not on the ProgRock Records promo list that would like to be, drop me a line at [email protected] with your details and we'll set you up.
