The Germany 5-4-1 line-up was very efficient against a very disappointing and defensive Equador, now it really starts after the warming up poule A : probably Sweden and, if Germany wins then .. Argentina ... AUF WIEDERSEHEN !!

I will eat my shoes if Germany is able to beat Argentina, they will blast them from the pitch within half an hour ... no doubt about that, MESSI MAKES A MESS FROM GERMANY ...

Argentina is the most difficult team to face to...Germany must qualify first because they're playing a starring role in this WC...Ecuador will face Brazil, if we pass the playoffs as I said before I have my feet under ground and I really don't care if we can't win to whatever the team it is...Ecuador has done a lot...I'm proud of all of them and I hope we can qualify...
It was not a great game for us for sure...but I'm happy...we have nothing to loose from this day on...

I hope England win the group tonight,so that they avoid the Germans. Anyone who believes the host nation will be pushovers is sadly deluded. I dont think Holland are a forlorn hope against mighty Argentian tomorrow,I predict 2-2.
England 1-1 against Sweden......I hope. The Swedish team must be trembling at the thought of Owen Hargreaves-prolonged laughter can have this effect.
BebieM what is your impression of Hargreave's time at Bayern?

C'mon its hardly a racist slur is it? Today a man was remanded in custody for suggesting that German tourists always bag the sun loungers. Meanwhile at Prog Archives the adult football fans get on with the good-natured banter

I think they are paying the price for under-estimating Ecuador. I believe they were unfortunate against Germany, but were maybe too cautious.Surely they knew a draw against Germany wouldnt be good enough?

Heh... A lot of fans started calculating which team would had to lose by how many goals in order to get Poland into the next round... And it was right after the match with Germany... Ah the niavaty...
All those south American and African teams are playing extremely well this year... And you are right They under-estimated Ecuador... As did other teams playing with those small countrys...

Yes,how unlucky are Ivory Coast? I was thrilled with the powerful way that Ghana muscled past Czech Republic and T&T havent looked like mugs either. USA should have beaten Italy the other night. However when it comes down to the big games the more experienced nations will win.

Eh... wasn't the Czech Republic an experienced team? And was said to be one of the bestest? Ghana were just remarkable. I though Ecuador slaughtered Poland cuz our team sucked that bad, but then I saw that match with Sweden and the other small African team (can't recall the name) I started having suspicions... And I was laughing quite hard when the Czechs got massacred by Ghana....

Trinidad & Tobago are two islands which lie near the north coast of South America.

Umm, an alright player, rather inconspicuous, but I guess that's normal
for a defensive midfielder. Who is he replacing against Sweden?
