Well I don't really have a favourite since Finland are not there. Tongue

I'm just hoping to see a lot of great football, exciting matches and awesome goals. And some surprises would be good too!

I'm backing two teams,  Brazil and the Netherlands, those being the two teams that interest me the most.

I fully support the homeland of Sven-Göran Eriksson...

I will support my country's national team but I don't believe Brazil will be the champion (maybe the team reaches quarter-finals).

I'd prefer to see (with Brazil out) a "new" champion like Czech Republic or Netherlands or Mexico...

I guess I'll support the US until they get knocked out, obviously they don't have a chance in hell.  Embarrassed  Most Americans don't care about this, but I tune in occasionally and it's enjoyable.

Brasil are my favorites and Ukraine as outsider. Other strong teams : Italy and Argentina. Holland will not do so good for they have a weak defense and midfield.

Is this just a superstitious thing, not wanting to tempt fate, or do the Brazilian people know something we don't? Everyone else thinks you guys are odds-on favourites.........Thumbs Up

Well, I'll support England but I think the final will be between Germany and Brazil, host nation against the favorites and Germany will get revenge for losing the last final.
I also admit to being crap at predictions.Smile

My final four are Brasil, England, Holland and Argentina:

3rd and 4th place: Holland-Argentina 1-2

World Champion Germany 2006: Brasil-England 2-0

Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Messi, Van Nistelrooij, Lampard, Owen, Van Persie, Fabregas and Drogba will be the eyecatchers, in a positive way Clap !

I picked the Czechs to win the World Cup at first, but now with the possible injuries to Baros, Rosicky and Nedved, I really don't know....

I really want France because my favorite player of this generation will retire afterwards! Cry
