I've decided to start a 64-band tournament. 64 Prog bands are to be in a single elimination bracket, but only one band can prevail.
We must first decide which bands will be in. Rules: - You may nominate up to 10 bands - Bands must be listed in the Prog Archives in order for it to qualify - All Genres are currently allowed except for Proto-Prog and Prog-Related - Whether Proto-Prog and Prog-Related bands should be allowed to qualify or not will be decided in a poll - Seedings will be based on what band receives the most nominations. You may now begin nominating. |

I don't wanna be a party pooper but I think this tournament is useless because we can already guess the winners

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

That's what I wanted to do but I figured I'd name the big bands right at the beginning to get rid of 'em |

tried to go with modern prog though i doubt it will prevail over the 70s giants...people just aren't willing to accept that music actually changes/progresses
just kidding--but i WOULD be really suprised if more than 5 modern bands made it into the top 10.
