They'll get through the group stage - The team is pretty decent. I love Gerrard as a player (without the dives). I also like Lampard, and when these two work out how to play together you get a massive midfield, which in my opinion is the key to success.
After the group stage everything is possible - it's like Russian Roulette.

Gerrard is a bit of a paradox.........he was awesome in the Champions league final last season & in the FA cup final this season..........yet, in England games, especially the important ones, he often seems to go into headless chicken mode............wonder which version will turn up in Germany?

after their disastrous "warm up" last week i'll be surprised if they get through the first round, and all this nonsense about Rooney is keeping the media busy £££££££. a team doesn't rely on one man (not since Best). i shall stay patriotic and hope they at least make the quarter finals!

They'll either choke in the Quarters,or miss them completely.

I really want England to do well (ie Win it!) but I think it will be the same old story. Where we play quite badly in the first round and scrape through, look like winners in the first knockout stage, then loose heroically in the quarter finals (maybe even the semis if we lucky).

Quarter-final misery is par for the course. Of course they have the capability to get knocked out in the first round. A semi-final place should be considered a good result.

I think they have potencial to reach the semifinals, but they won't make it, maybe they loose in quarter finals.
